Individuals, families and church groups from across Mississippi will spend the day with our youth, touring our homes, enjoying lunch, a live auction and having a great time. Schedule of Events

The Gathering is coming to a city near you! Youth will get a glimpse ofThe Gathering 2016. Don’t miss all the excitement at three tour stops: Meridian– September 20, Oxford– October 18 and Ocean Springs– November 15. Come see Big Al in concert, along with DJ Blaha and spoken word artist, Lo. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and worship begins at 6:00 p.m. This will be an awesome time and admission is FREE. Whileregistration for this event is requested for planning, we welcome additional guests.
Register now for the Student Ministry Initiative (SMI) Conference. Here’s a reminder to all adult workers in ministries for youth, children or family: the SMI conference is just around the corner, happening October 2-3 at Clinton First United Methodist Church in Clinton, Mississippi. Guest speaker, Dr. Kara Powel, is the co-author of best-selling “Sticky Faith” and will walk participants through the idea of creating a faith that sticks in the next generation. There will be workshop opportunities throughout the event as well as time for fellowship. Clergy attending the entire conference will receive .5 CEUs. Come learn about a new model for ministry fruitfulness that is being used in many different churches, districts and conferences-including the Mississippi Conference- and how your church can engage in this process.
A general session will provide an explanation of Spiritual Leadership Incorporated (SLI)’s model of fruitfulness and help you determine which of the three breakout sessions you want to attend.
THEME: “Abiding in Faith, Abounding in Fruit: Loving, Learning and Leading Together”

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: clergy, laity and leadership of church (including young adults 18 and up)
