In cooperation with members of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Tupelo, I am hosting a two-part church security training session for anyone interested in learning more about the subject or anyone interested in organizing a program at their church.
There is no fee for these two training sessions.
The first session will be Thursday, January 26th from 6pm to 9pm. It will consist of information regarding the Mississippi Church Protection Act and guidance on organizing a comprehensive security program within the church. There will be handouts provided to help you during the process.
The second session will be Thursday, February 23rd from 6pm to 9pm. It will consist of the ALERRT Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events presentation, with an emphasis on churches and places of worship. We’ll also discuss the importance of crime prevention and safety for churches and I will overview training opportunities for church security program members and church leaders that will be available during 2017.
Both training sessions will be hosted at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 1400 Clayton Avenue Tupelo, MS 38804.
Please pre-register for the training at www.720safetyconcepts.com/info–register.html or RSVP by email.
Training certificates will be provided for this two-part training.
